01-10-04 First European Community College The Association for the Community Colleges (ACC) is an international non-governmental organization working for the development of a European public sphere. The main idea of the ACC is that a unique way of promoting this objective would be through establishing Community Colleges on a common European level.
As a very important step in reaching our aim we see founding and developing of the First European Community College (FECC), a model European Community College which could be developed later in other countries. Here you have the chance to read more about the concept of the FECC, the inspiration from the Nordic concept of Folk High Schools, the target groups, the organization ACC and the partners of the organization. Furthermore, there is examples on how the annual school plan and budget could look like and you will find some extracts from the ongoing debate among the ACC- members about how to validate the FECC learning.
